words to live by

A few months ago, I read Gretchen Rubin's The Happiness Project and was inspired by her journey towards happiness. Gretchen spends a year dedicated to happiness by diving into a set of new years resolutions. As she strives to meet her goals, she creates a list of her own personal commandments that help her along the way.

I was so inspired by her project that I've decided to start my own personal version, to help me meet some goals and to become an all around happier, and better, person. I'll be sharing my resolutions in the coming weeks but in the meantime I have written my own list of "commandments" or mantras that I plan to use to keep me on track (some of them I borrowed from Gretchen, some just came to me):

1. Do it now (don't put it off)
2. Be Rachel
3. There is only love
4. No fear
5. Listen
6. Believe in myself
7. Have fun
8. Let it go
9. Ask for what I want
10. Enjoy the process

To make your own list of personal commandments, check out this article on Gretchen's Happiness Project site.
